Discover the History & Culture of Miami
If you’re looking for a guided tour that covers all of Miami’s hottest points of interest, this is the tour for you! From the home of the Pan Am flying boats to the modern Port of Miami, each community has contributed to the growth of Greater Miami. Either separately or together, the residents developed Greater Miami into the Gateway of Central and South America.
The tour begins with a visit to Little Havana to discover how 40,000 Cuban immigrants built a city within a city. The tour continues to Coral Gables, the “dream city” of George Merrick. Then we look at Coconut Grove, home of the Bahamian immigrants. We pass by City Hall, the Financial District, and Bayside Marketplace, a popular gathering area for cruise passengers.
The second half of the tour includes a brief history of the area, plus an overview of the architecture of the Art Deco District of Miami Beach. We drive along the international cafes of Ocean Drive and the shops of Collins Avenue. See the Versace Mansion (Casa Casurina) and, if time permits, stroll along Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road. The tour concludes with a return to your chosen location (any airport, cruise port, hotel, or other address in Miami/Dade or Broward Counties).
